The basic idealism and ethical projections of all the great sages of yester ages, as well as the fundamental purposes and promise of the founders of all the great Religions and Philosophies heretofore could be synthesized thus: MORAL UNITY, BROTHERLY HUMAN SOLIDARITY, EFFECTIVE AND PRACTICAL MUTUAL RESPECT AND ASSISTENCE, and SPIRITUAL COMMUNION, in unminced positive realizations an attainments of excellence.
Now, it would be simply ludicrous to indulge in fancy doctrines, or to splash around fantastic doctrines with claims of Divine mandate and spiritual grandeur when there is nothing to stand on but delusions and ineffective sentimentalism. We certainly realize that numerous people within the different great Religions, Faiths, Fraternities and Philosophies of the world are sincere and earnest enough to dwell responsibly on such designs. The only thing that separates them is their dogmas and their traditions. Otherwise they have identical hopes an yearnings, and they are wont to solve the very same problems that affect them, and to eradicate from their midst’s the selfsame ills and evils that overrode the world and make for the profound tragedy of the modern man.
If we are practical enough, also, we shall not fait to realize that it is not enough to make loud claims, and to sing the marvels of the Lord, particularly when the human history and the crudities of the tragic present-day conditions betrayal our better ideals, expose our failures as intelligent people, and prove all our faiths as unrealized wonders. It could not be otherwise, as today it is short of impossible to reconcile the fundamentals or true Religion with the way of life of most people, or the basic Spiritual Teachings of the authentic genial Guides of humanity with the atrocities of colonialism, the obnoxious irresponsibility of the United Nations activities, the monstrosities of pseudo-democratic politics, the devilish ignominy of the domineering “Big” nations, the idiotic villainy or religious intolerance and persecution, the heinous crime of racial discrimination, the might of gangsters, etc, etc, in a world where the ruling factors are effete morals and utter spiritual void. There are unquestionable realities and undeniable conditions with which common people hurt themselves constantly, is spite of wondrous faith and wonderful traditions.
Now how can we ignore historic reality, only to live in the dream-land of sectarian faith? – We cannot but respect all private opinions, and we certainly admire and tolerate all religious claims when they are sincerely expressed. What does upset us, however, is the fact that some religious, fraternal and philosophical organizations will cast aside all sense of responsibility and all common sense, and made baseless claims of Divine authority and heavenly mandates. Not that their claims are vain and ridiculous, but, rather, because they are unwarranted, unrealistic, and ineffective.
People speak too loosely of Love, Compassion, Divine Law, Spiritual Principles, Human Brotherhood, Immanent Truth, Universal Religion, and Nobility more often than not as they merely stand on rhetorical formulas and dogmatic doctrines, or silly pride. Their consciousness is in no way connect with the Kingdom Divine, Spiritual attainments, and/or Initiation fulfillments, as they are merely in the service of their own pride, or of certain earthly organizations which they call “church”, “Sacred School”, or “Spiritual Center”. In reality, they are completely off the tracks of true SPIRITUAL COMMUNION, HUMANISTIC REALIZATION, and GENUINE INTEGRATION with Cosmic Consciousness or kosmonic (TAO) Essentiality.
When we make earthly whims and passions the ruling factors of our life it is preposterous to expect to accomplish our better ideals and yearnings or to live up to Divine Law, and engage in genuine Spiritual Communion. This is so true despite the dozens of thousands of years of Human history that it is only NOW that the real DIVINE KNDDOM in taking shape.
The authentic KINGDOM DIVINE, sooth to say, is neither Spiritualist nor Christian, any more than it could be exclusively Hinduistic, Buddhist, Lamaist, Hermetists, Parsis, Jaïnite, or Cao-Dai. It is about time, we trust, that people face the truth intelligently and realize that neither God nor the truth can be the exclusive property of any sect, nation, clan, or group of people, and that Humanity is as much a part of God-Truth as the Milky Way. What is more, what makes people so silly an unhappy, in fact, it is their separativeness and self-delusion.
We CONTEND AND PROCLAIM that the fact that some people chose to eagerly build “citadels of faith”, “barriers of prejudice and pride”, and “isles of clannish exclusivity and sectarian bigotry” is in no way an evidence of SPIRITUAL GRANDEUR, or even of simple moral, power and dignity. In reality, in the measure that people “shut themselves in” any sort of faith, tradition, psychological complex, or racial fatalism THEY ARE CONDEMMED TO LIVE ON SELF-CENTEREDNESS AND DELUSORY DISPLICENCE. – These choices or there are by no means proofs of creative consciousness, dignifying idealism, respectable intelligence, and true Spiritual magnificence, and it is not by promoting such forms of limited universality that they can reach the vision and understanding of real SPIRITUAL COMMUNION and perform the duties of the authentic KINGDOM DIVINE.
