LOOKING FOR GUIDANCE

The Disciple must always try, especially when he suffers, to seclude himself in his room or in a place away from all noise.
That he begins to think about the reasons for his uneasiness or his troubles.
Let him try to feel, within the innermost recesses of his being, the flutter of an immaterial consciousness, with an insonant voice, which insinuates unusual attitudes or unknown gestures of nobility.
Most likely, the Disciple will suffer and be tormented only because he has not been reconciled with himself, or because he has never let his innermost and deep being speak and express the genuineness and superiority of himself.
If the Disciple proceeds as he is instructed, he can discover wide avenues hitherto unknown, and even precious veins of infinite forces which he had previously longed for so much and which he did not know he possessed abundantly.
When the Disciple needs to solve great or serious problems, he should withdraw, as has already been said, and meditate on his own being. Let his own heart, or what is higher in the sublime of his being, speak. Thus, he will be sure to receive the best possible answer to all his fears and afflictions. And in this way he will learn to know himself widely and thoroughly, and what is more, to act in accordance with the true needs of his innermost and profound nature.
