MEMBERSHIP: GENERALITIES

The Universal Alliance - Worldwide Brotherhood - Co-operative - Commonwealth of Mankind collaborates with the legal governments of all the nations (strictly) in all humanitarian and exclusively educational, ethical, moral and Spiritual designs, but never takes exception or makes pronouncements on the affairs of any nation whatever. Neither does it ever takes sides or makes demands in any problem or situation, national or international, and certainly never partakes either in any official or non-official public manifestations, either political, mercantile, philosophical or simply social, or in conferences, symposiums and congresses which are not in its own avowed spirit and character, and exclusively in the interest of HUMAN CONSCIENCE. It participates, in fact, only with the organizations in sympathy with its own educational and humanitarian designs and activities, or with the nations which specifically and expressly solicit its assistance and guidance.

The Universal Alliance does not admit members on a basis of compromise. Organizations, which do not apply their own teachings, or fail to abide by their own principles are excluded from Membership. All persons and organizations have the right to Membership only insofar as they abide by the GOLDEN RULE and respect their own Pledge of HUMAN CONSCIENCE. Absolute respectability and unquestionable dignity which are the flowers of HUMAN CONSCIENCE constitute to a great extent out motto.

Members are not subject to any Pledge of Allegiance and may freely suspend their Membership if they wish.

No single organization or person holds absolute power, as there is neither autocratic dictatorship nor censorship. The undemocratic, preposterous and nefast VETO power exists in any way either.

Neither does it in any circumstance whatever interferes with the teachings and affairs of any other organization within or outside its realm. In fact it helps and protects the adherent organizations in whatever way possible, but only on their specific requests.

All adherent organizations and individuals are bound by the application of their own faith or teachings and the GOLDEN RULE, according to the Pledge of HUMAN CONSCIENCE. They are excluded when they either deviate or gravely falter. Furthermore, the pursuit of excellence and sincerity of purpose are inevitable obligations. - They also contribute yearly Dues, so as to collaborate toward the expenses of management and Special SERVICES of mutual benefit. Among us people are either exclusive or privileged only insofar as they excel in creativeness, kindness, gentleness, good health, integral HUMAN DIGNITY and happiness. All the Official Representatives or Delegates must be at least of three to five years of Active Membership, or be a Grand Honorary Patron.

ALL MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS which happen to cease activities become part and patrimony of the Universal Alliance.

Only individual ACTIVE ASSOCIATE MEMBERS can be ever elected to Office, on the basis of a period of five consecutive years of Membership, in complete faithfulness to their own Pledge of HUMAN CONSCIENCE. Officers are automatically replaced when they fail to fulfill their duties honorably, or when guilty of either self-righteousness, lack of dignity, sectarian fanaticism, willfulness, pride, racial discrimination, superiority complexes, rudeness, abuse of authority, prejudiced, or too ill. They shall be recalled and demoted as circumstances may advice by ruling of the Board of Government or by a majority Vote of demotion at a General Assembly of Members.

ALL Members MUST contribute, somehow. Monetary Dues are payable in advance, on the basis of devolution if the Member is not satisfied, although having honorably met the Membership conditions. The Dues and other Membership conditions are made as flexible and minimal as possible. Nevertheless, they are changing as living conditions of the world demand by resolutions of Grand Assemblies of the World Congress.

All the major issues and Membership matters pertaining to the organization are dwelt from the World Headquarters, which is now legally in New York City. This World Headquarters may be moved to other city or country by resolution of the World Supreme Council of Grand Patrons and Trustees.

All adherent organizations, if ACTIVE, are entitled to a definite number of VOTES according to their Membership, as expressed in the ACTIVE FELLOWSHIP MEMBERS' conditions. In the requirements for ACTIVE COLLABORATION PARTNERSHIP, however, it is explicitly implied that the more each adherent ACTIVE organization has individual Active Associate Members registered the greater shall be their possibilities of participation in all the activities of the Universal Alliance and Worldwide Brotherhood – Commonwealth of Mankind, and also to have more of their Members elected as officers.

Most important to consider is the fact that the more ACTIVE Members there are in any given country, region or locality the more means shall we have command over to build and to render possible all our special SERVICES. In this manner, most of the Dues paid by the Members would remain in the respective countries, regions or localities, with the exception, of course, of the necessary collaboration with the rest of the world. ALL RESULTS ARE, MATHEMATICALLY SPEAKING, DIRECTLY DERIVED FROM THE COLLABORATION CONTRIBUTED OR APPORTIONED.

---------- Obviously, our aim and endeavors are concentrated, indeed, on the urgent need to UNITE all people of sincere ideals, faiths and purposes in life, so that they may JOIN hearts (pure feelings), heads (balanced intelligence) and hands (friendly and practical endeavors) to strive with dignity and harmoniously for the common good, and, last but not least, UNDERSTAND and TRUST each other, RESPECT and LOVE one another on the basis of SOLIDARITY, and ASSIST and PROTECT each other through the GOLDEN RULE. Thus, only, they finally become able to practice real FRIENDSHIP and BROTHERHOOD as well as SPIRITUAL COMMUNION.

Our unique experience of so many decades strenuously working for this noble purpose has matures us, lead us to improve our planning and techniques, and also forced us to be rather selective. That is why on the one hand we are EXCLUSIVE, choosing carefully our Associate-Members, while on the other we exclude all insincere and unsocial or non-fraternal elements. Inasmuch as present stage of activities can not be considered as final, being still in an organizational process, we must admit only people of character, with real ideals, as well as capable and willing to be builders. The UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD - CO-OPERATIVE - COMMONWEALTH OF MANKIND can be built, indeed, only by stout-hearted, noble-minded and highly spirited people. Simple go-getters, social parasites and selfish people cannot be, in our estimation, sincere and practical idealist, or respectable elements.
