GENERAL NOTICE

After 36 years (this notice was printed in 1949) of variegated experience in fomenting better Human Relations and participating as coordinators and equilibrators in World Affairs, as well as in the study of Economic-Social problems and Religious conflicts, we have decided to change our Corporation generic name, UNIVERSAL SPIRITUAL UNION to:

UNIVERSAL SERVICE UNION

The discontinuance in using the title SPIRITUAL is mainly due to the fact that most people do not understand the meaning of such a word. They attach it too much to a sort of delusive cult, furthermore, Religious systems object because they claim the exclusive right to use it. On the other hand, non religious groups object in their own account claiming that we are just a new form of delusive mysticism or religious humbug!

The truth is, rather, that the word SPIRITUAL we have been using was connected exclusively with the philosophical meaning, that is HIGHER IDEAL REALIZATION, NOBLER CONDITIONS OF MAN, CLEAR CONCEPTS OF TRUTH. Furthermore, not only are we entirely disconnected from whatever POLITICAL or RELIGIOUS system, but we have never taken part in such activities, and our proposition is precisely destined to correct the errors, supplement the shortcomings, and avoid the failures of these organizations in dealing with human problems and Universal Principles. Our Motto is, in fact: IMPROVE WHERE POLITICS AND RELIGION FAIL!

We abhor scheming demagogy, fanaticism and false hopes. But our arguments are not fancy doctrines and speeches. They are factual scientific analysis and conclusions leading to practical solutions of all human problems. Thus, we eradicate wars, vices, odious diplomacy, economic stress and uncertainty, social injustice and infamies, and all the abominable conditions that make of this world a hell to suffer. Our's is the greatest protest of History, the rebellion of sincere and clean Heart, and of noble and free Souls. Our position is above all political and religious fancies and squabbles, above all personal rifts and communal quarrels, above all fancy delusions. OUR ONLY INTEREST IS TO SOLVE HUMAN PROBLEMS AND MAKE PEACE, ORDER AND DIGNITY POSSIBLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD WITHOUT RELIGIOUS, POLITICAL OR RACIAL PREJUDICE.

We do not care what some foolish hypocrites or fanatics think of us. Our moral backbone can stand all insults. Our Spiritual force can also withstand all forms of persecution. Yet we challenge our political and religious contenders to produce better Ideas and better accomplishments than our's, if that is possible. Our prestige and satisfaction do not lie in dogmas or traditional legends, but in actual facts. That is why we have offered ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS (US $ 1.000) American currency to anyone producing better Teachings or Works than our´s, or capable of proving that we are not every single mite of what we stand for and claim to be!

Humanity glorifies scoundrels and crucifies its benefactors! In our case we must say that, we are so impersonal that we do not even expect thanks from anybody.

A solid reason that structures a pattern of living is as good as any transcendental metaphysical doctrine or supernatural mystic theory, provided it offers a working mechanism. We are glad, in fact, to let our books command public attention (see the List elsewhere) and our deeds and accomplishments stand as Beacon-Lights of a New Age Civilization!
