Special Message – 1962

This is the best moment to express our most sincere hope that mankind will ponder more earnestly over all the problems that divide and antagonize people, and so that we all learn to depend on the factors of PEACE, LOVE and HUMAN BROTHERHOOD rather than on political, aggressive and conquering forces. It is imperative, indeed, that something substantial and final be made so as to avoid another war as not only it would be a monstrosity to realize that human beings are not capable of resolving their problems intelligently, but it would not be a suicide for all those who still cling to the belief in the superiority of violence, aggression and the success of armed forces rather than in religion and spiritual values, which alone are eternal. May the next year be one of rectification, of better feelings and of greater intelligence for all those who strive to win the whole world and rule the destiny of mankind without consulting anything but their own egotistic interests.

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO BARGAIN FOR PEACE, TO DISCUSS ABOUT FUTURE, OR TO JUST KISS AND MAKE UP.

PEACE is the fruit of KINDNESS, SERVICE, DIGNITY and COMPASSION. Wherever any of these four Sources of PEACE is lacking, there is strife, lust and war.

BY THE WAY

AND, IN ALL EARNESTNESS AND FRANKLY SPEAKING BETWEEN US, EVEN IF THERE WAS NO RELIGION, NO FRATERNITY, NO PHILOSOPHY OF ANY SORT ON THIS WAR-WEARY AND VICE-RIDDEN PLANET OF OURS, WHAT PREVENT US FROM BEING FRIENDS?   WHY SHOULD WE NOT BEHAVE AT LEAST AS INTELLIGENT HUMAN BEINGS OUGHT TO?    UNTIL WHEN SHALL PEOPLE PREFER RUTHLESSNESS TO REASONABLE SANITY AND SOUND ETHICS, AND, LAST BUT NOT LEAST,  VILLAINY AND HYPOCRISY TO IDEALISM?    WHY MAKE A MOCKERY OF DEMOCRACY AS WELL AS OF RELIGION AND PLAIN LOGICS?   WHY CLAIM TO BE GOD-SAVED OR HEAVENLY-INSPIRED YET BEHAVE LIKE FIENDS AND PARASITES, OR LIKE COMMUNISTS AND MONSTERS?
