Mr. Peter DUKER
Holland

My Dear Friend and Brother in ideals,

I intended writing to you recently, but I am so busy that I don’t recall having done so. In reality I write no less than forty letters each day, one after the other, plus a good many others which I dictate to some of my secretariats. It is quite a job, naturally.

Now I have to get on my way to New York, as I have just learned by phone that I am being considered as a strong if matchless candidate for the office of Secretary General of the UN, in lieu of Mr. U Thant who is ending soon his period; not being a politician, this lives me flabbergast. But I certainly agree that I can do plenty of good there, as there has never been a more appropriate time as now when mankind needs true spiritual guidance and a real moral leadership.

Have not heard any more from Mr.….. What you say about unified action among different organizations is one of our pet teachings and practices. We never discard collaborators, but we cannot collaborate with people who do not collaborate with us. That Ministerial Training College you mention is a disgraceful undertaking, with nothing to teach, and its only “ministry” consist in giving away and selling diplomas for pennies. Too many people are simple quacks and gold-diggers with high claims and plenty of hide, but no morality and an absolute lack of dignity. All their doings and values rest in the sheets of paper they print to vaunt their absence qualifications.

So there is a lot of world all around me. I´ll be in Holland any day new. Possibly about when this letter reaches you. I´ll try to cable you in advance about my arrival in Amsterdam. This life is pretty rush and filled up.

With highest regards, please accept my best wishes,

Sincerely,

Pr. OM Lind

Post Data.- Numerous friendly organizations support my candidacy, sending letters to that effect to the Grand Assembly, UN Headquarters.
